Wonderful location and really enjoyed our stay at the hotel May 2011. Friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the lawn and sea and what a sea!! Would recommended eating at Bar-Talho E Charcutaria but beware of the road going to it, let another vehicle take the lead if you can!!! The car we rented from Brava (part of our package) was a right old banger but nevertheless got us around the island despite the red warning lights and a spanner icon that kept appearing and telling us to stop oh and the tyres were well past their sell by date - it was fun though trying to get it up the hills as it didn't like it in 2nd so 1st was used a lot. Only used 4th and 5th about once/twice a day!!! Fuel is expensive and we spent about £150 in the week we were there. No doubt if car had been well maintained we might have used less. All in all a lovely Island and really enjoyed our holiday.
